Due to the heightened activity over the past month, the PVMBG raised the volcano's alert level from Level II (WASPADA) to Level III (ALERT) on 8 May.

) The eruption has ceased. Civil Defense experts conducted a drone flight over the eruption site on the night of 8 May. No signs of activity could be seen in the main crater. The activity had been gradually declining over the past month, as observed in the attached timelapse containing a series of Sentinel-2 satellite images. The eruption lasted almost 54 days.
